5th Police Precinct


                                                               5th Police Precinct (Clinton and Bergen Streets)

Groundbreaking was held on October 26, 2009. The plan calls for the construction of a 74,980 square foot police precinct,  including space for the Office of Emergency Management and Domestic preparedness. The NHA sold approximately $68 million in bonds on July 21, 2009. The bond closing was held the following week.
 


The Waterfront


                                          Rendering of soon-to-be The Waterfront, a sports, arts and entertainment complex in the North Ward.

This Center includes a rock climbing wall, a radio station, a recording studio, a golf simulator, a racquetball court, a gym, a dance studio, and a weight room.
 


Various Commercial / Re-development

NHA has completed over 700 units in mixed income communities. These communities include City View Landing, Cottage Place, Irving Turner Homes and West Kinney Gardens. Other redevelopment commercial projects the Newark Housing Authority has created include:
